01Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Buzz Media Digital (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information. It applies to our website at buzzmediadigital.com, our landing pages and forms, the ads we run (including on Facebook and Instagram), and the calls, texts, and emails we exchange with you.

The two roles we play

  • For our own business. When you visit our site, ask about our services, or become our client, we decide how your information is used. This policy describes that use.
  • When we collect leads for a client. We run ads and landing pages for business clients and collect inquiries from people who respond. In that case we act as a service provider for the client. We pass the lead to the client, and the client’s own privacy policy covers what they do with it.

Questions or requests can go to tyson@buzzmediadigital.com or 719.371.1632.

02Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Your name, business name, email address, and phone number.
  • Your website or social media handle.
  • Anything you write to us in a form, email, text, or call, and records of those conversations.
  • If you become a client: billing details and access to your ad or social accounts, as needed to do the work.

Information we receive from Meta lead forms

When you submit an instant form on one of our Facebook or Instagram ads, Meta passes us what you entered. That can include your name, email, phone number, city or ZIP code, company, job title, and your answers to any questions on the form. We also receive details about the ad, campaign, and form you responded to, and the time you submitted it.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser details, such as browser type, operating system, and screen size.
  • Your IP address and the approximate location it suggests.
  • Pages you view, how long you stay, and the page that sent you to us.
  • Ad click details, such as the campaign tags in the link you clicked (UTM tags) and click IDs from Meta, Google, or Microsoft. We store these in your browser for the length of your visit so we can tell which ad brought you.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. See “Cookies and ad technologies” below.

Information from other sources

We may receive information from our client businesses, from advertising and analytics partners, and from public sources, such as the business website or social profile you tell us about.

Please do not send us sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information through our forms. We do not ask for it, and we do not intentionally send sensitive information to Meta or other ad platforms.

03How we use information

  • To reply to your inquiry and send you the plan, quote, or preview you asked for.
  • To provide our services, including building and running campaigns, websites, and videos.
  • To deliver leads and reports to the client businesses we work for.
  • To run, measure, and improve our ads, including building audiences and measuring which ads lead to inquiries.
  • To call, text, or email you about your request, and about our services where the law allows.
  • To keep our site secure, prevent spam and fraud, and fix problems.
  • To follow the law and protect our rights.

Legal bases for people in the EU and UK

Where European or UK law applies, we rely on: your consent (for example, for advertising cookies and marketing messages, which you can withdraw at any time); contract (to respond to you and deliver services); our legitimate interests (to run and improve our business and ads, and to keep things secure, balanced against your rights); and legal obligation.

We do not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects based only on automated processing. Meta’s ad delivery uses automated systems of its own, described in Meta’s policies.

04Meta advertising and lead forms

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, which are run by Meta Platforms, Inc. and its affiliates (“Meta”). This section explains how that works and what choices you have.

Seeing our ads

Meta decides who sees our ads using its own information about its users. We choose targeting options, such as location or interests, but we do not receive the identity of everyone who sees an ad. We only learn who you are if you click through and give us your details, or submit a lead form.

Lead forms on Facebook and Instagram

When you submit an instant form, your answers go to us and are also processed by Meta under Meta’s own terms and Privacy Policy. The form links to this policy. We use what you submit to contact you about your request.

Meta Pixel, Conversions API, and audiences

On our landing pages we may use Meta’s business tools, including the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API. These send Meta information about actions on our site, such as viewing a page or submitting a form, along with identifiers such as cookie values, your IP address, and your browser details. If you give us your email or phone number, we may send a scrambled (hashed) version so Meta can match it to an account.

We use these tools to:

  • measure which ads lead to inquiries,
  • help Meta show our ads to people more likely to be interested,
  • build audiences of people who visited our site or contacted us, and similar audiences, and
  • avoid showing ads to people who already contacted us.

Meta uses this information under its Business Tools Terms and Privacy Policy, including to improve its own services. In the EU and UK, Meta and we may share responsibility for the collection and sending of this data. Under some U.S. state laws, this counts as “sharing” personal information for cross context behavioral advertising. You can opt out as described below.

Your Meta controls

05Cookies and ad technologies

Cookies are small files saved in your browser. We also use similar technologies, like pixels and browser storage. The types we use, or may use, are:

TypeWhat it doesExamples
EssentialMakes the site work and remembers things during your visit.Session storage that holds the ad tags from the link you clicked until you close the tab.
MeasurementShows us how people use the site so we can improve it.Page view and form submission counts.
AdvertisingMeasures our ads and helps show them to the right people.Meta Pixel cookies, Google and Microsoft click IDs.

Your choices

  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well.
  • Global Privacy Control. Where we use advertising cookies or pixels, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser.
  • Do Not Track. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals, because there is no common standard for them.
  • Use the Meta and industry opt out tools listed above.

06How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only in these ways:

  • Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, email, analytics, customer management, video and design tools, and payment processing. They may use your information only to help us.
  • Client businesses. If you responded to an ad or form we run for a client, we send your details to that client.
  • Meta and other advertising partners, as described above.
  • Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, where needed.
  • Authorities and others where the law requires it, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • A business transfer. If we merge, sell, or reorganize, your information may go to the new owner.
  • With your direction or consent.

07Text messages and calls

If you give us your phone number, you agree we may call or text you about your request. Texts may be sent using automated technology. Consent is not a condition of buying anything. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. You can also ask us to stop calling.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with service providers who help us deliver messages and support.

08Keeping and protecting information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reasons above, including to meet legal, tax, and accounting duties and to resolve disputes. When we no longer need it, we delete it or remove what identifies you. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

We use reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections and limiting who can access information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.

09Your privacy choices

  • Marketing emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us.
  • Texts. Reply STOP to any message.
  • Calls. Tell us to add you to our internal do not call list.
  • Ads and tracking. Opt out of sale and sharing for advertising by emailing us with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share,” by using a Global Privacy Control browser setting, or by using the Meta and industry tools above.
  • Your information. Ask to see, correct, or delete it, as described in the next section.

Email tyson@buzzmediadigital.com or call 719.371.1632.

10Rights for U.S. state residents

If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, or another state with a privacy law, you may have the rights below. We honor them for everyone where we reasonably can.

  • Know and access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is wrong.
  • Delete your information, with some exceptions.
  • Opt out of sale, sharing for cross context behavioral advertising, and targeted advertising.
  • Get a copy of your information in a portable format.
  • Limit the use of sensitive information. We do not use sensitive information beyond what the law allows.
  • Not be treated unfairly for using your rights.

How to make a request

Email tyson@buzzmediadigital.com or call 719.371.1632. We will ask for enough information to confirm it is you, such as the email or phone number you used. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your written permission. We respond within 45 days, and may extend that once by 45 more days if we tell you why.

If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our response with the word “Appeal.” We will answer within the time your state law requires. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.

Leads collected for a client. If your information reached us through an ad for one of our clients, that business decides how it is used. Send us your request and we will pass it to them and help where we can.

California residents may also ask which categories of personal information we disclose to third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not make those disclosures.

11People outside the United States

We are based in the United States and process information here. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we transfer your information to the U.S. using safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where the law requires them.

You may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your information, to take it with you, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact us to use these rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

12Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business, our tools, or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a material change, we will tell you in a way that fits the change, such as a notice on our site. Please also see our Terms of Service.
